Yeah so as most berklillians know, tubing is on Saturday the 25th. It will be long and slow and hot, we have an ongoing drought here so flow on the river is 63 cfs or drag your ass on the rocks slow... What time of the day was everyone shooting for?.... Also its 105 here now.

4th of July Part-A
If you're reading this, and trust me by now most people don't...., you're invited to the MindyTodd 4th of July Extravaganza. There will be food, drink, pinata, fireworks (real ones and bad ones) and maybe some other stuff. The San Antonio city fireworks display is about 500 feet from our house, so its pretty good... Anyway, this is aimed at mostly Austin people, but berkleyites and others are invited as well, crash here Saturday night if you like. We'll have a guest bed and a sofa at that point which can be slept on. 210-535-9656 if you is interested.

Toaster oven 1.0 rest in peace
The toaster oven blew up in what was probably the loudest indoor explosion in the history of the toaster oven. It lived a good life and now has gone the way of the dodo. May it rest in piece(s).
Luckily, I survived to tell the tale, my sandwich, which would have been delicious, was not so lucky.

San Francisco
Mindy and I will be in San Francisco from July 27th to August 6th. She is running the half marathon in the morning of Sunday the 29th. She starts at around 6:00 AM and will be done by 9. The route runs from embarcado on the east side around the shoreline, over the bridge and back and ends in the park on the ocean (golden gate park?). If you want to come stand out in the cold with me let me know. Who all will be in town during this time?

That kitty is wacko
So as some of you may recall our kitty has a fetish for underwear, particularly mindy's.... Anyway we are all in bed tonite going to sleep and I look up and the kitty is sitting on the headboard wearing her underwear. Mindy is planning an intervention. If anyone has experience in such areas I would like their help in freeing our cat of this proverbial back monkey. Here are some historical pictures of her problem:
